Many of us use natural gas in our day-to-day lives—including cooking on gas stoves. Their team of researchers will be working with the University of Melbourne to collect and analyze samples from residential natural gas stoves in Melbourne from March 13th to March 22nd. There are two components to the study; one portion of the team will collect samples of unburned gas from the stove and analyze it for air pollutants, while the other half of the team will take measurements in the kitchen while the stove is in use. This process does not affect the stove in any way.
